How do you convert a 3.7 GPA on a 5 pt scale to a 4 pt scale?

There are no conversion calculators for this specifically, but a regular calculator will work perfectly. All you need to do is take the GPA under the 6.0 scale, multiply by two, then take that answer and divide it by three. The result will be the GPA on a 4.0 scale.

A 3.7 GPA on a 5 point scale is equivalent to a 2.96 on a 4 point scale. If you want to calculate your 4 point scale GPA without the use of a conversion calculation, look at your letter grades and find their equivalent 4 point GPA values.
