Clorox scent is caused by chlorine and becomes much lighter when the fabric or surface dries. If the odor is still strong the item can be rewashed and rinsed in clear water and allowed to air dry in the sun or try soaking or surface spraying the item with pure or diluted lemon juice, then rewashing and rinsing in clear water, and allowing the item to air dry in sunlight.
Depending on the size and material you are trying to "deodorize" if it is an object that is not easily washed by machine - charcoal does a good job absorbing odors, use it for 24 hours, then replace with fresh, while the first "batch" sits exposed to sunlight to remove the offending odor. well this is one reason not how to get rid of skunk odor: tomato juice ( unless you want to ). you only think it works because when you smell it up close you can't smell the odor of the skunk anymore. but i think to get rid of skunk odor is to take a bath in SOAP! and LOTS of it!
