You will need to take the core classes in the college of education, including student teaching. These classes took about 3 semesters and included speech, child psychology, classroom management and so on. There were also methods classes to learn how to teach my subject. You may need to find a teaching minor to make yourself marketable--look at the local schools to see what else accounting teachers teach--maybe computer/keyboarding. Finally, you have to take the state tests for professional knowledge and also for your teaching fields.
