There are different ways of quit smoking.

Behavioral therapy This involves working with a counselor to find ways not to smoke. Together, you'll find your triggers (such as emotions or situations that make you want to smoke) and make a plan to get through the cravings. Now it can be done without a psychologist. I was reading about an app called "Quit Genius" in the Evening Standard. It's essentially a personal psychologist in your pocket and is like the Headspace for smoking and uses scientifically proven techniques o change the way you think about smoking. It is awesome.

its all about ur attitude. if u stay positive it will make things easier for u. plus now they have nicotine gum and they also have something new that's on tv... its like an inhaler that substitutes as a cigarette. u can also do the nicotine patches. it will be hard though.

Its not easy... You have to want to quit, just think of all the positive out come. I just decided to quit one day gave myself the date and just quit. I made myself think of different cons on not smoking anymore and it made me realize it was worth quiting. Just put your mind to it and you can do anything...

When trying to quit smoking, it maybe be helpful to join a support group. Therapy is very important, as is personal will. There are also special types of Chewing Gum that can help relieve the addiction a little.
