Both 雨 and 飴 are pronounced, roughly, like "ah-may."
However, if you wanted to get into the more advanced pronunciation, one could say that there is a major difference in both of these words' intonation.

雨 (rain) - Ame (rising tone on 'a')
飴 (candy) - aME (rising tone on 'me')
