Flamenco is a traditional Spanish dance.
The traditional Spanish guitar used in flamenco music is called a "flamenco guitar."
Flamenco is first and foremost, the music or more precisely, the songs. The cante is the most important part of flamenco. Outside Spain, the dancer is the best known but in Spain, the cantaor comes first! Then the guitarist, then the dancer.

Flamenco wasn't exactly made. Flamenco is a style of dance, and has evolved hugely over the centuries. As it has evolved, it's become more and more like modern flamenco, and even now, flamenco is evolving to be better and to make it easier to express a dancer's inner passion. Flamenco also varies depending on where you are, and how the dancer in question feels at the time, so it isn't one exact scientific system that remains the same no matter what. So the real answer is that flamenco is STILL being made.
