It depends on the context.

The most common version is "gente" (hen-tay) which refers to a group of people in general, i.e. All the people arrived or People don't think much or I love people.

There is also "personas" which refers to an exact number of people, i.e. Three people arrived or Several people don't think much or I love eighteen people.

There is also "pueblo" which refers to people in the ethnic or national sense, i.e. The Mexican People are hardworking and earnest, or The people of this community live honestly, or I understand how the people think.
