Doumo arigatou gozaimasu. (どうもありがとうございます) - Thank you very much. (More formal, polite)
Doumo arigatou gozaimashita. (どうもありがとうございました) - The past tense of thank you very much, as in, you are thank the person for doing something.
Do not say 'Doumo arigatou' like in the song.
That's like saying 'thank you very' in English - it doesn't make sense.
