There is no Hebrew word for am. Am depends on the sentence. For example:

I am hungry = Ani ra'ev (אני רעב)

I am 14 = Ani ben 14 (אני בן 14)

I am going = Ani holech (אני הולך)

Notes:

  • Hebrew doesn't have a present tense form of the verb "to be"
  • If you're just trying to say "I am" meaning "I exist," you say ani kayam (אני קיים).
  • If you're talking about Exodus 3:14, that verse is not accurately translated. אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה really means I will be that which I will be.
