The Irish names Síle (in Munster) and Siobhán (in the northern half of Ireland)

were considered to be equivalents of Julia. Actually Síle is Cecilia and Siobhán is Joan.

In Scottish Gaelic Síleas was considered the equivalent of Julia, again not exactly correct.
