In a 2003 Saturn L200, the Freon (refrigerant) is taken in through the AC system's low-pressure service port. This port is typically located on the larger diameter aluminum line running from the evaporator to the compressor, usually found near the driver’s side of the engine bay. To check or add Freon, you'll need to connect a refrigerant gauge to this port. Always ensure the car is off and properly ventilated when servicing the AC system.
To replace the thermostat in a 2002 Saturn L200, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant, then locate the thermostat housing, typically at the end of the upper radiator hose. Remove the housing bolts, take out the old thermostat, clean the mating surfaces, and install the new thermostat with a new gasket. Reassemble the housing, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.
