Thus, a Christian is a believer in or a follower of Christ, a Coloradan is a resident of or someone who was born in Colorado and still considers it home... a Faustian philosophy is one promoted by the character Faust, or one that reflects what Faust believed. That's how the word Republican was first formed as well... someone who believes in the ideals of the Republic. The Spanish equivalent of the suffix "ian" or "an" is "ano" for male, "ana" for female.
