The NDL is supported by very legitimate honor societies like Phi Theta Kappa.

No, you do not have to give them money or buy anything to be included in the NDL. You can buy the book or anything else if you WANT to. You name will still be included into the book if you don't buy anyhthing.

Also, honor societies ask you for money as well to become a member, but that is because they are a non-profit organization. If you complete a 5 Star member program (only participation) at PTK, you will receive free graduation regalia from your local chapter. Somehow the chapter has to pay for that, don't they? PTK works together with the American Red Cross, National Cancer Society, Toys for Tots, etc.

Sorry, but if the NDL is a scam than all supporting honor societies such as PTK would be scam as well?!
