How do you write a paragraph about slavery?

Well I personally believe that slavery was and is wrong. You shouldn't treat people by the color of the skin it's what inside that matters. I know it might sound lame but it's true.:)

It's not lame. If someone that think this is lame, that THING is not a person.

comment: Although slavery in the Americas was only with whites owning blacks, I think you are getting slavery confused with racism. This makes sense, since our main impression of slavery is America's history with slavery. But slavery has nothing to do with race, and slavery is not the same thing as "treating people by the color of the skin" because a black man can (and had been) a slave to another black man, and a white man can (and has been) slave to another white man. Though I agree that slavery is cruel and evil, it is not the same thing as racism or segregation.
