The Erie County Home Schoolers Diploma Association (ECHSDA) requires students to have 15?æcredits to gain a general diploma. The academic diploma however requires 20 credits.
Normally, at least a GED. HS diploma preferred.

what is theacademic equivalent of a cmi level 5 management diploma I believe this is the same level of study as a Higher National Diploma. In the new QCF framework all qualifications are issued as awards, certificates or diplomas depending on how many credits are achieved. The CMI Level 5 diploma in management is worth 62 credits (credits may depend on where it is studied and what optional units are delivered). See: http://www.qcda.gov.uk/8150.aspx and http://www.accreditedqualifications.org.uk/index.aspx for more information.
The short answer is 22 credits. Both a college preparatory diploma and the Technology/Career diploma (a fancy new name for a vocational diploma) require 22 credits. One credit represents 180 class days (allows for excused absences) or about 150 clock hours. 4 credits must be in Language Arts. 3 credits must be in Math (4 math for college prep.) 3 must be in social studies, and three in science. A college prep diploma will also require a foreign language, usually two more credits, and a tech career diploma will require vocational classes amounting to at least 4 credits.
