How many hours a day does a elementary principal work?

Generally a school administrator works more days and hours than a teacher. They get calls after hours from parents about various issues or problems and spend the summer vacation to get things set up for the next school year. I am a California teacher and we work 184 days a school year and school administration work about 240 days. I would guess it isn't much different in NY. My dad was a school principal and there isn't enough pay in the world for me to go into administration.

10-12 hours is a "normal" day for me and there is still a pile left undone at the end of each day.
