How much does the training cost to become a massage therapist?

It depends on where you live and what the requirements are in your area. Some States regulate massage and in others, it's up to each county or city. Usually the minimum is 500 hours of training and that can cost around six to eight thousand dollars.

In Ontario, my program in Massage Therapy is 1500$ a semester, plus about 900$ a semester in books. You also need to buy sheets, lotion and be first aid and CPR licensed. All this costs about an additional 400$.

A massage therapy program is usually 6 semesters.
