Homework in my classroom was the work the students didn't finish in class. I taught 8 subjects and gave students about 20-30 minutes of work time after each lesson and they could get done what I assigned if they didn't play around. Each day they had one assignment in each subject. It was usually a workbook page, a written assignment, 20-25 math problems, 30 spelling words for the week with an assignment dealing with the words each day, a history assignment and science. Some took all week to complete while others we due the next day. The next day I corrected each assignment turned in. I would sit with a student who missed too much going over the lesson and giving them a chance to correct the assignment. They got 3 chances for corrections and each time I looked at the assignment I dated it so I knew I had all ready gone over it with the student.
