bat (בת) means either "daughter" or "daughter of"
Bat, for instance, if you wanted to say 'Ayelet, daughter of David' you would say 'Ayelet bat David'
Daughter-in-law = כלה (kah-LAH).
simcha ba'a (שמחה באה)
The proper thing to say to them is mazal tov (מזל טוב). The phrase joy and blessings would be simcha uvrachot (שמחה וברכות) but this would sound strange.
