This is one of the hardest parts of being a teacher. You cannot force another person to want something - but you can entice them into the activity and see if the desire is sparked by your teaching abilities. Do your best to make the classes interesting, with plenty of hands-on experience for the students, and hopefully they will become interested in learning for its own sake. With a poor student, it's always a good idea to reward any effort at all, and even to offer extra credit assignments to help them feel motivated to continue working.

Learn to deal with these students who don't wish to learn, try home schooling, or transfer to another school. As long as they don't mess with you, you can immerse yourself in your studies and avoid them.
