Pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, as long as you didn't take it too soon. It would say on the box how long after (or before) your missed period you can take it and get an accurate result. Lots of things can cause bleeding or 'spotting' mid cycle. Take a 2nd pregnancy test to put your mind at ease.
