Your guidance counselors will most likely tell you that in your first year of college, you don't necessarily need to know your career choice. This is true in some aspects, but it's generally best to know what you're going to earn a degree in before college. Most kids who don't know their majors in college end up taking an extra year or two of classes due to lack of credits. This, in turn, will create extra expenses for yourself and / or your parents / guardians.
