Is Lincoln academy a acredited school?

My grandson has a high school diploma from Lincoln Academy, Houston TX and has been turned down twice for an auto tech school. The last time was today by Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis IN 6-3-2013. My advice is do your homework before spending money for something that you may not be able to use.

Yeah they are accredited through the Nation Home School Accreditation of America (NHSAA). The NHSAA is one of the largest organizations that accredits home schools ad private schools across the country. All public colleges recognized this accreditation and will accept a diploma accredited through the NHSAA.

HOWEVER, some colleges require "Regional Accreditation" and will not accept your diploma. Please be careful when selecting an online high school diploma. If you plan on getting your high school diploma online, check with your prospective colleges to make sure they will accept it. Many college applicants end up spending hundreds of dollars then have to also spend additional money to take the GED.

Just becuase a high school or college states, "we are accredited" does not mean they have the right accreditation.

Lincoln Academy is an online home school which basically means that if you live in any of the 50 US states, you can use your high school diploma that you receive from them for employment and for college.

Lincoln Academy is accredited by the National Home School Accrediation of America (NHSAA). Community colleges, 4 year universities, trade/career schools, and employers accept graduates from Lincoln Academy.

I did my research and this is what i found out about Lincoln High School. Lincoln High school is accredited by NHSSA or the National Home School Accreditation as stated on their website.

From my online research NHSSA is not recognized by CHEA or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and neither is NHSSA listed anywhere on the US Department of Education. Both CHEA and the US Department of Education are very important factors in learning if a school is "legit" or accredited.

I searched on both websites and 0 results.

My opinion is NO Lincoln Academy High School is not legit and I would recommend other online schools.

You can use your diploma from Lincoln Academy to attend college and to get a job.
