Total for all three sections? That was a pretty good score on the old SAT. That is below average on the new SAT. The average score is around 1520 out of a possible 2400, according to Spark Notes.
I've heard that over 1850 is a competitive score on the new SATs.
no. get a 2000
There are currently three categories of 800 points each. Therefore, 2400 points. That's in every place that uses SATs.
If the score was measured on the old (1600) scale, then 1250 should be enough to get into a solid school, although the Ivies and other highly selective schools may be unlikely to accept on the basis of this score alone. Measured on the new (2400) scale, it is unlikely that this score will merit acceptance into anything above a third-tier university, since this is akin to scoring about 415 on each of the math and verbal sections of the traditional test and 415 on the writing test; this score is below average on all fronts. In both cases, extracurricular activities and academic record will both be very important as well.
The new total is 1,000.00
If you want to get a high score, you have to play good and avoid 'the bad things' in the game. Make sure you read instructions before you play a game that needs a good score to maybe pass to a new level. Do what the instructions tell you to do to get a good score.

Sorry to break it to you but not a chance, you pretty much need at least a 4.0 and 2150+ on the SAT, and on top of that a bunch of extracirculars, volunteer hours, work experience, etc... So if you have a 3.7 GPA try to pull a 2250 to have a chance
To raise your score, you need to pay your bills on time every month, try to remove any bad debt that you have, and limit new credit inquiries.
