Depends. In mythology Baalzebub or Beelzebub means "Lord of the Flies", a demon. In the New Testament, Mark 3:22, the Pharisees accuse Jesus of casting out demons in the name of Beelzeboul, a prince of demons. II Kings 1:2-3,6, refers to Beelzebub (Baalzebub) as Lord of the Flies. Baal is a semitic word for lord or master.
Beelzebub was the god of the Ekronites:
2Kings 1:2 Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria, and was injured; so he sent messengers and said to them, "Go, inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury."
The Jews looked upon all the deities of the Gentiles as demons, or devils; and since Beelzebub was the chief of them, in Mark 3:22 they thought they could not use a more reproachful name, to give to Christ, than this.
Beelzebub is not Satan:
Mark 3:23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan?
Satan will not destroy his own kingdom.
'Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me...' Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody
Beelzebub is the Devil's birth name. (Matthew 12:24) It's amazing how bibles like the King James Version has the Devil's name but not God's name(Jehovah). The "Devil" is just a title just like"The Messiah" is Jesus. That's why I like to use the "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures Bible." Feel free to ask anymore questions. :)
The name "Lord of the Flies" is a literal translation of the name of the biblical name Beelzebub, a powerful demon in hell sometimes thought to be the devil himself.
