if you are in honors classes, then definetly pay attention
1. realize that this is the real deal, grades count now. colleges will look at these
2. be nice to everyone. even the nerds. they could be your boss somedady
3. go in early everyday to ask teachers questions or to review material so you get your brain going before class
4. try to stay organized, binder checks are a pain if you arent
5. do any extra credit available, even if you are getting a mid grade. itll make finals easier
6. finals...STUDY. dont non shalon them unless you are getting all mid level grades so you can fail the finals.
7. finals...you will usually get about 10-20% lower on the finals than what your semester grade was. so try to boost your grade as much as you can before finals. 89,90,91. and 92s are hard to keep if you dont do well on your finals
8. get involved in activities
9. go to formal dances, they are a heckalot of fun. plus you get to know new people of the opposite gender
10. realize bullys are either insecure about themselves or just plain a**holes, use them as a motavation tool to work harder to show them wrong when your driving your fancy car and then are riding in a beater ect.
11. have fun! it can be a pain, but high school tends to leave people with good memories
12. dont try to hard with girls/boys. youll know when the time is right with the right person
