I think it would be a good move, especially since so many fatal collisions are caused by younger drivers.

1. it groups all the responsible teens (yes there is such a thing)
2. being able to drive is part of growing up
3. parents don't want to have to chauffer their kids around all the time to the 50 billion places they have to go.
4. a lot of parents disagree with changing the age
5. if it does change I've heard people born in 1993 and later will be the only ones affected, if so that would be favoring half the people in their sophmore years while the rest have to wait until they are 18, thus creating conflict within the grade.
6. Instant out rage would be expressed by teens and riots could ensue. (if one doesnt start, I'll start one)
