夫 /o-tto/ is the general term for 'husband'. When referring to someone's husband it is more polite to use ご主人 /go shu jin/ which literally means 'head/master of the house, provider, master, husband, etc'. 旦那 /dan na/ is also used in spoken Japanese in sense of 'husband', where it originally means 'master, sir, etc'.
