as accurate as you can get. they told me with my 3rd baby that I was further along then we thought, and she was born the day they predicted.
Around 2.5 weeks ago.
The ultrasound dating has excellent and precise estimation of gestation especially if done in the first trimester (first 12 weeks). After 12 weeks, its accuracy goes down. However, compared to dating according to menstrual cycle, the ultrasound would be more accurate.

Pretty accurate.
The ultrasound at 18 weeks is about 90 to 95 percent accurate. It there is a flat place between the legs it means it is a girl if there is something hanging it means it is a boy.
I was told the same thing. Based on my lmp I am 6 weeks but I had an ultrasound done 2 days ago that said I was 4 weeks. I wonder if I am 4 weeks along because that is the time of conception since you dont get pregnant the day of your period. It is usually two weeks later when you ovulate. Let me know if you have heard anything
just 11wks and 6 days before october18
Be patient.
Assuming she is qualified and experienced at her job she is probably right. However the ultrasound is not 100% accurate.
Gestation is the same as saying pregnant. So when your midwife says that you are at 7 weeks gestation, she is saying you are 7 weeks pregnant. It is most accurate to go from the first day of your last period to figure out how far along you are because babies grow at different paces in the womb and if your baby is growing a little faster at first, the ultrasound may show it as being further along than it really is. Your midwife is probably getting your due date using the last period method, so I would go with her and say that you are 7 weeks pregnant.
At this stage, yes the ultrasound can be off by 10 days. Mine was off by ten days the other way, that is I thought I was 18 weeks and the ultrasound said 16 and a half. I knew when I had conceived because my husband had been away on a trip.
I think this is what you mean. For example. On 28th December the ultrasound said you were 8 weeks pregnant, then on 25th January it said you were 12 weeks pregnant. This would be accurate to within 4-5 days each time.
