Personally, I would suggest to attend the Art Institute, depending on what area of set design you wish to pursue. There are many smaller educational colleges that do offer this as a course. The Art Institute does have campuses in Hollywood and also in New York offering up courses in theatre and film set design. It all would depend on what your interests are.
