Are you American? I'm assuming you are, since you said 'high school'. I don't know if the requirements to get into Med. school in America are different than in England, so you'll want to double-check this:

Some universities prefer you to have all science subjects, while others prefer an arts for the third. As a rule, English literature is well-received (except for Cambridge University, who require all sciences).
The best way to check specific requirements is to email a couple of universities, even if you're still years away from applying and even if you wouldn't necessarily attend them, and ask what they would advise for a successful application to study medicine - they're usually very helpful. It all depends on what the occupation is.
