To join the Royal Navy, specific GCSEs or A levels are not strictly required, but a good educational background can be beneficial. Generally, having GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above is essential, as well as other subjects that demonstrate a well-rounded education. For officer roles, A levels or equivalent qualifications in subjects like science, mathematics, or engineering can be advantageous. Additionally, candidates must meet other criteria such as physical fitness and medical standards.
