Everyone says Biology is a deffinate requirement. however, i am still at school, achieving A*s in maths, chemistry, biology and physics, (along with other subjects), and i have been told that chemistry and maths are more important than biology and physics if you wish to become a doctor. i am currently in the proccess of chosing my subjects to take onto sixth form. i am taking maths and chemistry for sure, and a compilation of biology, ICT, economics and business studies. hope i have helped in some way. i am currently going through the same problem as you and i know how difficult it is, so i wish you the best of luck :) YOU NEED ALL GCSEs As or A*s (hopefully) and A A A for A levels.

GCSEs - three separate sciences (physics, chemistry, biology). To become any sort of surgeon you will have to go to medical school, and most universities require at least the three science A Levels at grade A or A*.
Usually, schools insist that before starting an A level course, pupils already have a GCSE in the subject, but they may make exceptions.

To pursue a career in mechanical engineering, you should focus on taking GCSEs in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Design and Technology, as these provide the foundational knowledge needed in the field. Additionally, consider taking GCSEs in Chemistry and Computer Science, as they can also be beneficial. Strong grades in these subjects will help you gain entry into relevant A-levels or vocational courses later on.
