I would not put an age limit on it. If you are referring to a medical doctor, it would take eight years beyond high school completion; Four years for The Bachelor's degree and four years of medical school. There will also be an additional three or more years to complete the internship and residency requirements depending on the specialty. Now, it is up to you to decide (based on your current age) how many approximate years you would have left in the workforce after completing the training, and would this be acceptable to you?
