it depends on the school the person attends
School uniforms can stifle individuality and self-expression. They can be costly for families, especially if they are required to purchase multiple uniforms. Uniforms may not be comfortable for all students, leading to issues with focus and physical well-being. They can perpetuate socio-economic disparities by highlighting differences in clothing quality. Students may feel restricted and less motivated to engage in learning.
A typical school uniform costs around $10 for the shirt and $15 for the pants.Jackets are also about $10. You could be required to own at least two uniforms, which can cost up to 70 dollars.
It is difficult to provide an exact percentage as preferences can vary widely, but in general, some individuals may not like wearing uniforms due to reasons such as feeling restricted in their personal style, discomfort, or lack of individuality. These factors can influence the percentage of people who do not prefer to wear uniforms.

abbey college in Manchester is one of them. It's private and only starts from year 10 onwards though. the fee is aparently quite high. not all schools are strict on the uniform policy though. the only enforced rules at collingwood, surrey are that you wear somthing of the school uniform, and the pe kit is too. but other than that you can wear practically anything, as long as its not too out of the boundrys, like a bright pink clown outfit. i don't see why anyone would wear that anyway. one of my freiend actually wore a pirate outfit to school on talk like a pirate day last year, and , because it was "justified" she got away with it.
