Kenwood Academy was created in 1966.
The site of the old Kenwood School for Girls is now occupied by the campus of the Kenwood Academy and the Canter Middle School, both public schools. The prep school no longer exists. There were, however, other schools in the community at that time and later. She may have taught at one of those schools.
The Kenwood School at 4920 S. Blackstone Ave. from August 1964 to December 1977. When the then-new Kenwood High School (now Kenwood Academy) opened in September 1969, the old Kenwood School became an upper grade school (6th through 8th grades) and was renamed Louis Wirth. Beulah Shoesmith School, which was K-though-8 from 1966 through 1969 went back to it's original kindergarten-through-5th grade format. A couple of years ago, the school was renamed after Miriam Cantor. So, the school is still in operation.
