I have a locker in my form room at school, and I find it very useful!
I keep all my school books in it so I can never forget or loose them, but if I get homework in that subject, I will put the books I need in my bag and take them home to do the work, then bring the books back when I have finished.
You could put in a box, to keep money, phone, purse etc in, it is very organised and keeps your locker tidy. Put pictures in your locker with blutac or magnets to make it feel more homely.
You can lock lockers to keep everything safe, and most lockers are fire resistant, so dont worry about it setting on fire!
