My advice to you is don't force yourself to fit into a 'clique' just make your own friends and act the way you want to. But ANYWAYS
Emo/goth/punk/rocker - typically dress dark with lots of eyeliner and peircings
Preps/populars - stereotyped as good-looking and rich, sometimes mean
Nerds - smart + glasses + braces, you've seen the movies
Jocks - sporty and buff, date the preps
Outcasts - may be ugly or stupid, or not all there
'Mediums' - don't really fit into a group, sometimes called wannabes
Just remember that these are labels, and most of the time people in these groups have contrasting personalities. I'm in middle school, and I have nice friends from every single one of these groups. So don't go labeling everyone you see, there's so much more on the inside.
Social groups in school can impact students' social and emotional development, forming friendships and support networks. These groups can also influence behavior and attitudes, potentially leading to peer pressure or exclusion. Additionally, belonging to social groups can provide a sense of identity and community within the school environment.

Middle school and High school ages depend entirely on individual school and when they set their Middle School. They vary from anywhere in years 6-9 (ages 10 - 15) for Middle school to Years 9-12 for High school (ages 14 - 18). Many schools do not have a Middle school, but separate into Primary and Secondary.
