What colleges offer free courses to senior citizens?

I know that in the state of Georgia when you reach the age of 62 you can go tuition free at any state owned institution of higher learning (technical, college or university). There are a few others but I'm not sure which ones.

You would have to check with each college in your area. There is no list that I know of. However, most if not all community colleges have these types of arrangements for senior citizens.

There are many archived online courses you can take for free from Universities that offer OpenCourseWare courses. MIT, Berkeley, Yale, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and other universities offer full video-lecture courses in a number of subjects. There are related links below. Many states have discount programs or free programs to seniors. Usually the "Senor" age is 50. However, if you attend the schools and pass the course, you may not get a diploma. This is because you did not pay for the course. If you get the course at a discount, then it is a good chance that you will receive a diploma.

Call your local Department of Education in your state to find out. Better still, call the college of interest and see if they offer such programs. Even though the state may allow it at a state college, private colleges may not.

Yes, senior citizens (age 55 and older), can audit a class at the University of Colorado at Boulder for free as part of the Senior Auditor program. You will need to pay a $25 per semester fee, but then you get to audit classes that have available space.
