Amanda Blake, the stage name for Beverly Louise (Barrie) Neill, is definitely considered a "Brenau alumna," but she actually attended Brenau Academy, which is a grade 9-12 prep school, that was located on campus of what was then Brenau College, a women's college. Miss Blake subsequently was a college trustee. The Women's College and Academy still exist as components of Brenau University. Another more recent Brenau Academy alumna involved in hit television shows is Janie Bryant, the Emmy-winning costume designer for "Deadwood" and "Mad Men."
