Jewelry! Or anything with a heart. The cutest idea would be a teddy bear with a santa hat, and the teddy bear is wearing the necklace and maybe a kiss.

Of course, this is based on your girlfriend's personality. If you give a goth a bright pink skirt, it's going to look like you don't pay attention. But forget buying her clothes. Don't even go there. (Girls are pretty picky about what we wear, and honestly, if a guy picks it out, she probably won't like it. Also, if you buy the wrong size, you will insult her.) You don't need to get her a gift, but if you really want to, you can't go wrong with chocolate (unless she's diabetic). Keep it small, or you might move too fast and scare her away. If you want to get her a not too fancy necklace, you can get some at Target (I think). Just don't go too far. Remember: when it comes to a boyfriend awesome enough to get a gift at all, it really is the thought that counts.
