Knowing the word alone in romaji is not enough. Most words have multiple meanings, but through their kanji you can tell which one. If you can get ahold of the kanji, you can then translate that. In Japanese, you usually use the O first as an honorific addition to a words, but not proper nouns.

Ren alone could mean compay, party, group of companions

O is usually added when talking to someone (instead of 'your') for adding respect.
