"multatuli" is not Swedish, it's the pseudonym of the Dutch writer Eduard Douwes Dekker. It means nothing in Swedish. However, according to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multatuli) it derives from Latin "multa tuli" = "I have suffered a lot".
