Slag. Might also be something that is loose. Really depending from which word the name originally comes from. Schlak as a word does not exist in German. Try: Schlack, Schlacke (slag), schlackern (dangle/totter), or Schlag (bash). When I, as a native speaker, hear the name without any context, I will think of dangle/totter.
