Many outcomes of how boys and girls turn out depend on how each is treated, which depends on how the generation before them were treated in most cases. Many sons and daughters will carry out what their parents have done.

With educational decisions, many sons will go to college if their fathers have gone, or the sons will carry out the trade that their fathers have done.
