if you are in year 9, then you are in form 3. the way to work this out, is by starting at year 7 and counting up from there for example:
year 7= form 1
year 8= form 2
year 9= form 3
Scottish schools have seven years at primary school, and four, five, or six at high school. Year 9 in England is the 9th year at school, so it equates to 2nd year at high school.

In England we don't have 'grades' we call them 'years'. our first school is called 'Primary School' our first year is: 'reception' then: 'year 1' 'year 2' 'year 3' * 'year 4' 'year 5' 'year 6 * or we can have 'Junior School' which starts at 'year 3' and then ends at 'year 6' and then we move to 'Secondary/High School' which is: 'year 7' 'year 8' 'year 9' 'year 10' 'year 11' Next is sixth form or collage: 'year 12' 'year 13' lastly if you did sixth form you can go to university for up to 6 years (it depends on what you are studying).
What age are kids when they enter year 9 and when they leave year 9

In Britain, there is nursery or playgroup which is for 3 year olds, followed by reception for 4 year olds. Year 1 is ages 5 -6, year 2 is 6-7, then year 3 is 7-8, year 4 is 8-9, year 5 is 9-10, and year 6 is ages 10-11. After year 6 you begin secondary school, following the same pattern up to year 11, which is followed by a now compulsory two years in a sixth-form or a college, or doing an apprenticeship.
No, you can do that at the beginning of year 11
Georgie Henley is in YEAR 9, not year 10 or 9th grade. She goes to Bradford Grammar School
