To pursue an NVQ in Beauty Therapy, it is typically recommended to have at least a few GCSEs, particularly in subjects like English and Science. While specific GCSE requirements can vary by training provider, having a background in subjects related to health and beauty can be beneficial. Additionally, some institutions may consider practical experience or a passion for the beauty industry in lieu of formal GCSE qualifications. Always check with the specific training provider for their entry requirements.

To be a cosmetologist or esthetician, all you need in most states is a high school diploma or you have to pass a written test. I highly suggest you have a passion for the field or it would be just like any other job.
To become a beautician, you typically do not need specific GCSE qualifications. However, having GCSEs in subjects like English, Maths, and Science can be beneficial for developing essential skills such as communication, numeracy, and understanding chemical processes. Additionally, vocational qualifications in beauty therapy or related fields can provide more specialized knowledge and practical experience needed for a career as a beautician.
