I would say that to study biology, chemistry or physics one would need to gain a high grade in mathematics as a subject such as physics is highly maths based. These A levels in college can only be studied if one has taken higher mathematics and higher science (either higher additional or a separate science). In college, one could also take subjects such as Art which one does not need to study at a GCSE level to do the subject.
