It's a solid-state guitar amplifier with an on-board chorus effect to fatten the sound (hence the name).
A Princeton Chorus is a solid-state (tubeless) amplifier made by Fender in the 80's (has red knobs) through the mid 90's (black knobs). It is one of the greatest amps ever made in my opinion. The reverb is superb, the chorus and overdrive are as perfect as one would want, and the clean is crystal. The only drawbacks to this amp is that as it ages, it loses it's clarity at high volume. I would recommend this amp to almost anyone, except for the hardcore or metal croud, but especially recommend it to people who have a sort of blues sound or play big jazzy chords.
A Princeton Reverb is a amp produced by the Fender company. Fender not only makes amps but also one of the greatest American guitars known to man. With the being said it is fair to say that one might plug a Fender guitar into a Princeton Reverb.
