The main differences between the National Diploma(ND) and the 1st Diploma are that the 1st Diploma is Level 2 in IT Qualifications, acheiving Starred Distinction in this course will almost automatically get you a place on the next level, which is the ND Level 3. The 1st Diploma fully completed to a Merit/Distiction Level is equivalent to A* in ICT.
